...This taught me to work hard and be wise about how I spend my earnings; to save for things that are valuable and will be appreciated.
...Give. Dad always gave Ben and I quarters to put in the offering plate at Sunday School, a habit that has remained with me (the giving, that is -- not necessarily the quarter aspect). Whether you give to your church, a local nonprofit or a cause you care about, I firmly believe in the power of generosity.
